Television and the Hive Mind

A few years ago when I wrote Television and the Hive Mind, I never dreamed it would be so widely read. It has been linked and reproduced across the Internet more times than I count. Recently, I discovered it has also been cited in the following very good articles:

Alex Ansary: Mass Mind Control Through Network Television: Are Your Thoughts Your Own?

Norman D. Livergood: Brainwashing America

Dale Allen Pfeiffer and Elizabeth Anne Pfeiffer: The Power of Delusion

Bush vs. the First Amendment

Bush just signed a new law (tacked on to an unrelated bill by Arlen "Magic Bullet" Specter) that makes it illegal for you to "annoy" someone on the Internet without disclosing your identity. No doubt the law will be selectively enforced ... LINK

The Man Who Would Be The King

Now and then, in my more restless moods, tired of the rut I'm in, ready to try something different, searching for a more meaningful career, I consider chucking it all and becoming an Elvis impersonator.

Then, on cooler reflection, I decide it would probably not be a good idea.

But, one of these days, who knows, I just might grow out my sideburns, dye my hair black, put on a white jumpsuit, grab a microphone, and take the plunge.

It is a dream I have ...

The Controlled Demolition of WTC 7

Larry Silverstein now claims that when he said "pull it" he was not issuing an order to demolish WTC Building 7, he was ordering the firefighters be pulled out of the building. The only problem is, there were no firefighters in the building. LINK

The Federal Police

Kurt Nimmo writes about the proposed United States Secret Service Uniformed Division (USSSUD): "So let's say Bush plans to traipse through your town and you send out an email to your friends urging them to practice their one-time civil liberty under the First Amendment of the now doormat Bill of Rights and stand on a public street corner with signs protesting the neocon mass murder campaign in Iraq. Of course, that very email will be scooped up by the largest intel op in the world-the National Security Agency, now effectively Bush's personal snoop operation-and will be forwarded to Chertoff's Gestapo and you may very well receive a visit the day before Bush's motorcade wings through town and due to "extraordinary protective need" you may very well be arrested "without warrant" for an "offense against the United States," that is to say for disagreeing with our Caesar, George W. Bush ..." LINK
