The War on Terrorism is phony, of course; therefore, the following has nothing to do with fighting terrorism, and everything to do with harassing ordinary Americans who dare to use their God-given rights to criticize the phony War on Terrorism ...

Slapping a yellow-ribbon magnet on a car to show "support" for the troops (i.e., support for the war) is what passes for patriotism these days, and cheap fictions about the likes of Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman are supposed to satisfy our hunger for heroes. But we know who the real patriots and heroes are; the real patriots are those Americans who oppose the war, even though they risk government harassment for their efforts, and the real heroes are the soldiers who refuse to fight ...

Pat Tillman's Parents Lash Out at Army

EXCERPT from a Washington Post story: They say the Army's "lies" about what happened have made them suspicious, and that they are certain they will never get the full story ... LINK

It was a propaganda coup for the war lords when the idealistic football star gave up his career to fight for a cause he believed was just.

But, inevitably, he became disillusioned with the cause. This often happens in war, and is no problem for the war lords if the soldier is an ordinary man. But if the soldier is a celebrity, with unusual access to the world's press, and if he is an idealist who cannot be counted on to keep his mouth shut, there is a problem; the propaganda coup can quickly become a public relations disaster.

This was a chance the war lords were not willing to take. Better to stage a hero's death for the celebrity soldier, and if the cover story would not hold, take a limited hangout: "It was 'friendly fire' that killed him. We would never murder one of our own" ...

The New Freedom Initiative is in place, setting the stage for mandatory mental health testing of all Americans. Next, politically incorrect thoughts of various kinds will be added to the psychiatrist's diagnosis manual. Then, if you are discovered harboring doubts about the War on Terrorism, or anything else on the Globalist agenda, they'll stick one of these things in your brain ...

Peter of Lone Tree (Blonde Sense) writes in response to my 5/15 blog entry "The First Casualty of War":

I first came across printed evidence of the "fake capture" here: 13WHAM-TV ROCHESTER || NEWS . So what? Well, it's a UPI story, Moon's outfit. What's Moon doing with an expose' story on the neo-con bullshit, one might ask? I believe Moon ain't the Bush-lover most people presuppose him to be; I think the old boy is still pissed about the prison time he had to do for the tax-evasion rap, which was merely a convenient way for him to be put out of the way for a while. He might also have been getting a little invasive with his methods of trying to assume power.

Anyhow you might want to check http://www.washtimes.com/ and http://www.washtimes.com/upi-breaking/ every once in a while for "zingers" they slip into the news which aren't exactly complimentary about Bushco.

The First Casualty of War

From the start, Operation Red Dawn, as the capture of Saddam Hussein was called, had all the marks of a staged event (LINK); this was recently confirmed when an ex-Marine who participated in the capture stated that the public version of the event was a complete fiction. Saddam, he says, was actually captured much earlier at another location.

It is probable, too, that the fraud goes even deeper than this ex-Marine describes; given Saddam's well-known use of doubles, as well as certain anomalies regarding the captured Saddam's appearance, there is reason to doubt it was the real Saddam who was captured.

Thus, Red Dawn joins the long and growing list of other government lies about this war: for instance, the true story behind the "heroics" of Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman, also the plastic turkey served by George W. Bush to the troops on Thanksgiving, and (most infamously) the falsification of the evidence for WMDs in Iraq.

War and lies go hand in hand, of course; it has long been said that the first casualty of war is the truth. Therefore, all this lying is nothing new. And, if history tells us anything about such lies, it is that they do not die; the government will go on telling them, and re-telling them, and heaping more lies on top of those lies, and the great "troop-supporting" herd will happily believe them-will, in fact, desperately cling to the flimsiest of lies-rather than face the unpleasant truth that they have allowed their children to be needlessly killed for a criminal cause-that is, in the name of a monstrous Lie.

There are many ways of perpetuating such lies-history books, movies, and video games, for instance. Also, museum exhibits.

I mention the latter because the 4th Infantry Museum at Fort Hood, Texas, has opened a new exhibit on the Iraq War. The centerpiece commemorates the famous "capture" of "Saddam Hussein," exactly as it did not occur, complete with the very chest that did not contain his money and a wax dummy of a disheveled, bearded, hollow-eyed Saddam exactly as he did not appear.

In the near future, the exhibit will be further enhanced with an exact replica of the "spider-hole" Saddam was not hiding in; this is expected to be a big hit with the kids, who will enjoy crawling through it. (LINK)

So, add children's playscapes to the means by which a lie is told; after all, one is never too young to be lied to, especially when one is expected to grow up and become cannon fodder, and for little children it is helpful to make the lie fun.
