The above photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger was taken last month in Tokyo; it was not seen widely in this country until today when it was posted on Drudge Report to accompany a story in which Schwarzenegger called for the Republican Party to move Left (!). Note the huge iconic propaganda portrait behind him and compare it with those of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Bush, et al. in blog entry 12/17/04 below. Also, compare his jacket with Bush's military jacket in "The Dictator Fashion Show" in 12/9/04 below; it is not a military jacket, but the excessive ornamentation (seal, flag, monogram) is similar to Bush’s jacket and is at least suggestive of the military.
Bush's jacket caused controversy upon its debut, and some defended it by pointing out that his jacket was not without precedent; other presidents, they noted, have worn jackets bearing the presidential seal. This is true; however, those were civilian jackets, unlike Bush’s uniform regulation tanker jacket, which is quite military. Also, those jackets bore the presidential seal and nothing more; they were not festooned with additional emblems, like Bush and Schwarzenegger's jackets.
Look at the photo below of JFK, then scroll down the page to Bush. You will see that JFK's appearance befits a civilian leader of the military. Bush's appearance, on the other hand, is military; it is also fascist and reminiscent of the uniforms worn by the imperial officers in Star Wars (also of Austin Powers’ nemesis Dr. Evil).

Now scroll back up to Schwarzenegger; true, his jacket is more like Kennedy's, but the extra doodads on his jacket are, as I said earlier, suggestive of the military—i.e., they are pseudo-military. Also, it should be pointed out that Kennedy was a president, whereas Schwarzenegger is a state governor. Which prompts the question: Since when do governors wear jackets bearing any kind of official seal? I cannot recall seeing such a thing; if some governor somewhere wore one some time, I somehow managed to miss this phenomena. No, I think that Schwarzenegger’s jacket is a recent invention—an innovation of his handlers—and the fact that his handlers also happen to be Bush’s handlers causes me to suspect a connection regarding these choices of apparel. Add this to the mysterious Bush billboard (noted below) and the giant, iconic Schwarzenegger backdrop in the photo above, and I am all the more suspicious. In fact, I am (not without reason) quite paranoid.
It would appear that the Bush-Rove-Nazi-Schwarzenegger nexus is test-marketing these dictatorial trappings to gauge the reaction of the public: What percentage of the population finds them offensive? What percentage does not care? What percentage approves? etc.
I would not be surprised to learn that only a minority is offended, and that the vast majority sees nothing wrong at all with a president in full uniform or with gigantic, iconic propaganda posters of said “leaders.” And yet, there is something wrong with it. For these are the visual cues that, historically, have always signified a military dictatorship. A uniform worn by a leader makes a fashion statement, as it were, that says, “This is a military government, not the civilian government intended by our Founding Fathers.” And, as for those larger-than-life, iconic portraits of leaders more typical of Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Russia, Mao’s China, etc., those images say, “We are gods. Thus, our authority is not to be questioned.”
This is what I think is happening: Not only are Bush and Schwarzenegger’s handlers test marketing these visual cues of a military dictatorship, they are also conditioning the public to accept them. Gradually, leaders-in-uniform and leaders-on-billboard will be seen with greater frequency, until finally no one questions it—or, at least, none dare question it. Perhaps, too, the president, like Hitler, will at some point announce that he will dress only in uniform as long as the war lasts. Which, of course, will be forever.
And, should that day arrive, the president will not be the only one in uniform.
For some time, there has been talk in public school districts all over the country to require students to wear uniforms. As we all know, public schools are by definition government schools, thus public-school uniforms would amount to de facto government uniforms for children. Also, should a military draft be instituted, and should other kinds of government service be instituted for all the rest of us who are not fit for combat, then there could come a time when all of us, at one time or another, might be required to wear some sort of uniform.
And, looming over this unrecognizable, heavily militarized, collectivist, and Godless America would be giant billboards over every freeway bearing the iconic image of our leader Arnold Schwarzenegger. In uniform, of course.

Yesterday I went to the Saxet Gun and Knife Show in Austin to meet Celerino Castillo, the retired DEA agent who personally witnessed CIA drug deals, and buy his book Powder Burns. I offered my condolences for the death of his friend Gary Webb who was murdered last week. “Yes,” he said, his countenance becoming somber, “Gary.” I told him I had been turning over in my mind the possible motives for this murder and had heard him say on the Alex Jones Show last week that it was a revenge killing. He nodded. “That’s right,” he said. “Those guys don’t forget”—meaning, of course, the criminals Webb exposed in Dark Alliance. I mentioned that this murder was so brazen that it indicated to me that we have reached a very disturbing turning point. He said, “Yes, and it’s going to get worse. A lot worse.”
Cele is a noble man who has placed his own life at considerable risk to do what’s right. You can support him by buying his book.

In Florida two days ago, a man died after police used a Taser gun on him
. This is the latest in a growing list of deaths; also Tasers are being used on elementary school children with alarming frequency. It is just a matter of time before a police officer kills a child with this "non-lethal" weapon. But that concern does not appear to have entered the minds of city officials in Tempe, Arizona, where police have been authorized to use Tasers for use in schools.

Eyewitness accounts of the DamagePlan shootings correct a few erroneous reports by the police and media. For instance, the shooter entered the stage from stage right, not from the audience, as previously reported. Also, the roadies dispute the police report that the first officer on the scene killed the shooter Nathan Gale. Most of the cops took "defensive positions," doing nothing while roadies and fans heroically attempted to disarm Gale. Eventually one cop broke ranks and took the initiative to shoot Gale, thereby saving numerous lives.

In Philadelphia the other day, a 10-year-old girl brought an ordinary pair of scissors to school, unaware of a rule prohibiting scissors as a possible weapon. Why, not only was she unaware of the rule, it never occurred to her to use the scissors to stab anyone, any more than it might have occurred to her to use her No. 2 pencil (which is allowed in the school) to gouge out the eye of a classmate.
Anyway, a search was conducted for property missing from a teacher's desk, the scissors were found in the girl's book bag, and, despite the fact that she had not threatened anyone with the scissors, some genius called the police who arrested her, handcuffed her, and drove her to the police station in a paddy wagon that was filthy with blood and urine. I guess that will teach the little criminal. She was later released, because of course no crime had been committed.
Lest you think this was an isolated incident, consider that two days later a school principal in St. Louis ordered a five-year-old boy handcuffed for "unruly" behavior—a punishable offense, to be sure, but serious enough to merit handcuffing? Y’know, for the past hour I’ve been trying to think of a circumstance under which it would be appropriate to handcuff a five-year-old (or a ten-year-old, for that matter) and I can’t think of one. But the principal in question came up with one; he defended his action by saying he did it for the boy’s good. He did it to “scare this kid straight.” Well, as far as I’m concerned, only a Sadist would even think of such a thing, and if he’d done that to my child I would scare him straight. Straight into a hospital.
These incidents are not isolated, and they are part of a trend that has grown steadily worse over the past several years, ever since schools everywhere in the aftermath of Columbine began instituting zero-tolerance policies with regard to weapons or potential weapons. All manner of harmless objects—toy guns, drawings of guns, nail clippers, a steak knife in a lunchbox to cut chicken with, and a miniature pocket knife brought to school for show-and-tell, to name a few—have been the cause of numerous children being suspended from school. And now, these harsh policies, in combination with the hysterical get-tough-on-crime, everything-is-a-crime, every-crime-is-terrorism attitude that is spreading throughout our society, has created an environment in which otherwise rational adults—teachers, principals, cops—actually think it's okay to handcuff and arrest a child, even when no crime has been committed.
What's next? Will a child making an "anti-American" comment be treated like a potential terrorist?
Guess what, it's already happened:

Madrid’s 3/11: Another 9/11 (That is, another inside job by the globalists)
My friend Marcel Ruijters just sent me the following:
Did you read about how the Aznar administration cleared all files on its doings on the days of the Madrid attack until the elections? So, beside the 'official documents', of the days from 11 to 14 March, no trace is to be found on the government computers. Aznar hired a private company to sweep them clean and then passed the bill of 12,000 Euros to his successor Zapatero. Not that we should get suspicious or anything.

Jeff Cohen, founder of FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting) writes this tribute to Gary Webb:
R.I.P. Gary Webb: Unembedded Reporter
The Los Angeles Times obituary of Gary Webb described his research on the CIA/Contra/Cocaine connection as "discredited." This is a lie. In a report released in October 1998, the CIA's Inspector General Frederick Hitz confirmed that the CIA facilitated drug trafficking by the Contras during the 1980s.
This is not the first time the LA Times has lied about Webb. The following article describes the smear campaign against Webb conducted by the LA Times and other major newspapers' attacks following publication of his research. It also documents the relationship between the CIA and the mainstream news media:

CIA Media Whore David Corn Killed Gary Webb
How are such "journalists" able to lie so? How do they live with themselves? Perhaps it is through the use of "doublethink," which George Orwell described in 1984 as follows:
"Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them. The Party intellectual knows in which direction his memories must be altered; he therefore knows that he is playing tricks with reality; but by the exercise of doublethink he also satisfies himself that reality is not violated. The process has to be conscious, or it would not be carried out with sufficient precision, but it also has to be unconscious, or it would bring with it a felling of falsity and hence of guilt. Doublethink lies at the very heard of Ingsoc, since the essential act of the Party is to use conscious deception while retaining the firmness of purpose that goes with complete honesty. To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies - all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth. Ultimately, it is by means of doublethink that the Party has been able - and may, for all we know, continue to be able for thousands of years - to arrest the course of history."

In the story linked below, we read that the Ohio nightclub shooter Nathan Gale was discharged from the Marines in 2003 for undisclosed reasons.
Crazed killer's band obsession
I am reminded of Larry Ashbrook, who several years ago killed several people in the Wedgewood Baptist Church in Fort Worth. The following story describes his dishonorable discharge from the Navy, as well as letters he wrote to the news media prior to the shootings.
Authorities piece together bizarre puzzle of Ashbrook's life
These letters, however, were not “rambling,” as the story linked above indicates. When you read the actual letters, you discover that they coherently, and chillingly, describe encounters with CIA agents, forced drugging by the police, and an attempt to frame him for a series of murders in the Dallas-Fort Worth area:
Text of Ashbrook Letters
It is always possible that the Ohio shootings were the random act of a lone nut, and certainly we should not jump to conclusions without evidence. However, it would be irresponsible not to question this latest incident, given the past 41 years’ legacy of so many “lone nut” scenarios that have been proven false (the shootings of JFK, RFK, MLK, Lennon, Reagan, to name a few) and other incidents, such as the Wedgewood Baptist shootings, that strongly suggest the involvement of the CIA and MK-ULTRA. And, again, we should always ask, “Cui bono?” That is, “Who benefits?” It is always the police state.

Cui Bono?
Police say they may never know the motive of the man who shot rock star Dimebag Darrell Abbott and three other persons in an Ohio nightclub Wednesday night. But one thing is for sure: The Police State will benefit from this shooting. It will be used to promote gun control, as well as tighter security not only in nightclubs, but everywhere. Also, the fact that the murder conveniently occurred on the 24th anniversary of John Lennon's murder links the two events in the mass consciousness, thereby reinforcing the "lone nut" myth in general and its application to Lennon's murder in particular. I should add that, while there is (so far) no evidence of a conspiracy, the timing of this shooting certainly has the look of a black op "signature." But this, of course, is only speculation …

DICTATOR FASHION SHOW

Our first model this evening is Adolf. He's wearing a cream-colored shirt, brown tie, and a beautiful brown jacket ornamented with an Iron Cross. The red swastika armband on his sleeve gives a festive splash of color to the ensemble.

Our next model is Benito. He's wearing a snappy pair of jodhpurs, a lovely jacket festooned with medals and other ornaments, black belt, black shirt, and black hat with a tassel on top.

It's Party time! And for this formal occasion Party leader Joe has wisely chosen a stunning white jacket accented with gold buttons and black epaulets, and tasteful black pants.

Our next model, Fidel, is wearing a white shirt, black tie, and olive-green jacket with gold leaf pattern on the lapels and gold-green epaulets trimmed in red—a sharp outfit suitable for any occasion.

Next up is Mao. He's wearing a simple but eye-catching outfit consisting of white shirt, comfortable green jacket with red-trimmed collar, and a matching green cap with a Red Star.

Our next model is Saddam looking debonair in an ascot and green jacket lightly adorned with strands of red and dabs of gold on the epaulets.

Our next model Kim has chosen the classic lines of the Orient to ornament his cap, lapels, and epaulets; the red-and-gold color scheme contrasts nicely with his brown uniform and is accented by a golden star necktie-pin.

Our last model is George wearing a sporty, zip-up, light-grey, uniform-regulation tanker jacket with plain epaulets, Commander-in-Chief monogram, the Presidential Seal, and the American flag. Sleek, sensible, understated, yet always Patriotic—the perfect look for an American dictator …

America has fallen. It will take a while for this fact to become evident to the dumbed-down, media-brainwashed masses, but the laws that are in place now will be used with gradually increasing frequency until one day the people who voted for Bush will look up and realize the world has changed and they are living in a police state worse than Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.
A few weeks ago the New Freedom Initiative was passed by Congress; the government now has the power to screen American citizens for "mental health." At first it will "only" be children and (in Illinois) expectant mothers. But, in time, it will be you.
Yesterday the Intelligence Reform Bill was passed. Most Americans are unaware of the draconian provisions actually contained in this bill, but they will find out. And when they do, it will be too late. Hell, it's already too late.
However, maybe there is small reason for hope. In a commentary posted today (Constitution Butchered in Winter of '04), Alex Jones writes:
The government can claim that we are all their slaves. Just as, years ago, claims were made that black people were not human beings - claims that forced them to report back to their owner on the plantation - these government claims that would enslave us do not have to be recognized. When the Supreme Court ruled that blacks were not human beings, people simply ignored what it said. All throughout history unjust, criminal laws are resisted by the people."
The moral of the story is that the Constitution only points out our God-given rights. Even if they destroy the Constitution, these inherent, organic rights are still there. So, exercise your rights as free human beings. Even if we have a tyrannical government they still cannot remove the liberty from our hearts.

DREAM: Post-apocalyptic coastal tribe raising cattle, cobbling together a living. They're good people mostly, but some are not good. There are vicious stabbings in the night: bodies with slit throats leaking massive pools of blood on the trail in the dawn light … My double and I migrate north to the place where the lanky men in straw hats dwell. In an abandoned Kentucky Fried Chicken building we encounter a vampire. My double wrestles the creature, snapping its neck and other bones—they crack like peanut brittle, leaving a sticky goo on his hands, possibly infectious. After the fight, the townspeople award us with a miniature Goddess in a cage. She is nude, her private parts covered by her Lady Godiva hair-do … Scene shifts to California where I've arrived looking for a new job. In the black-and-white sector of Hollywood, I follow a group of people into a cavern. It's muddy and claustrophobic; we crawl up through a tunnel to the trapdoor entrance of a 1930s juke joint. African drumbeats and a midnight wail: "Lucille, baby, satisfy my soul" … Scene shifts to a wooden balcony where I sleep beside a tv set playing a black-and-white movie all night. Visitors arrive; in the group is Oliver Hardy. We go to a restaurant. In conversation, Oliver says his own name, causing another man named Oliver sitting at a nearby table to react angrily; he walks over to our table looking for a fight; Oliver smiles and twiddles his tie, defusing the situation … Scene shifts again. Puppet-people running from police helicopters raining machine-gun fire. Shelter in a parking garage …
