The usage statistics for this site show that over the past couple of days Simona Lunga (described in the blog entry below) is one of the most popular search strings leading to this site. She has shot ahead of Bush Junta, John Lennon, JFK, LBJ, Billy Sol Estes, Mohammed Atta's passport, television mind control, Eyes Wide Shut/Illuminati sex rituals, and other popular searches to occupy second place. (Operation Northwoods still holds first place.)

This will not last, of course. In a few weeks, interest in the "porn judge" will fade, and search strings like "lungu secrets of seduction," "romanian judge porno,"  "simona lungu porno download," and "simona lungu video stream" will disappear from my stats.

That's the way it goes. For over a year, I've watched different topics rise and fall in popularity. I don't mean the topics listed above--Lennon, JFK, 9/11, etc.--those are always popular. I mean the ones specific to a particular moment in the world's attention span.

Last month, for instance, Kitty Kelley and her new book about the Bush family was one of the most popular searches. Now, she and her book have vanished from my stats.

A few months ago, it was Nick Berg; everyone was trying to find the beheading video. Now, no one is interested in it; they’ve already seen it, plus there's been such a surfeit of beheading videos in the meantime that they have lost their novelty. (This eventually happened during the French Revolution. When you've seen one beheading, you've seen them all.)

And, a few months ago, Abu Ghraib was the hot topic. Judging by my stats, a lot of people were trying to find the Abu Ghraib sex orgy video. Of course, this video was never made public by the Pentagon, but that didn't stop people from trying to find it. They've given up now--oh, once in a while, someone will type "abu ghraib sex orgy video" into a search engine, but most people seem to have resigned themselves to the fact that they have seen all the bestial goings-on at Abu Ghraib they are ever going to see.

Speaking of search strings, here are some of the more entertaining ones that have shown up on my stats recently:

I just Googled this one myself, thinking it would turn up a Rev. Mack White in Chicago, but all it turned up was my own site where the word "Christians" was used in a blog entry. So I don't get it. Someone will have to explain this search string to me.

And now, his ghost haunts the LBJ Ranch, chased for All Eternity by the ghosts of the men he murdered.

Many months ago I was baffled by the search string "nicole kidman medical records." Why my site? I wondered. Then I discovered it was because in my Beast System article, "Nicole Kidman" and the word "medical" appeared on the same page. This, however, did not explain why anyone would be interested in her medical records. So I wrote a blog entry in which I jokingly suggested Ms. Kidman’s medical records might reveal she is a transsexual. And, ever since, I've been getting search strings like the ones above. Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out it was true?

The above variations on a theme turn up in my stats every month. Which tells me that a lot of people are coming to this site expecting to find the nude photos of the Bush twins with the donkey. To those folks: I’m sorry, I don’t have them--and if I did I wouldn't post them. I may be weird, but I'm not stupid.

You may have seen the story last week. It was carried worldwide, often in the Strange, Offbeat, Weird, or Bizarre sections of various news sites: The Scandal of the Romanian Porno Judge. Wherever it appeared, the story ran with titillating headlines ("Judge Stars in Porn Film," "All Rise for the Judge," "Your Worship, the Porn Star," and so forth) and gave only the following details:

Simona Lungu, a female judge at the Bucharest Tribunal, resigned after an investigation over allegations that she acted in a pornographic sex orgy film, "Secrets of Seduction," released on video in Denmark. Previously, she had denied being in the film and had asked the state crime lab to clear her name by comparing photos of herself and the actress in the film. However, the forensics experts determined that it was indeed Lungu. And yet, despite this outcome, Lungu still insists it is not her in the film, and claims that she is being framed.

Framed? That caught my attention. Why would she be framed? Was there more to this story? Curious, I began examining the Romanian coverage of the story and discovered that there is indeed more to the story.

Using Google and other search engines, I had no difficulty finding references to Simona Lungu on Romanian news sites; however, all the stories were all in Romanian, and the one Romanian-to-English on-line translator I found produced results almost as incomprehensible as the original.

But, finally, I came across the English edition of the Bucharest Daily News and found over a dozen stories that include details missing in the stories the rest of the world is reading. Here is a summary:

It seems that the scandal grew out of another scandal. In October, Simona Lungu testified as a witness in one of several cases against a group called the Movement for Spiritual Investigation into the Absolute (MISA) that practices tantric yoga (sexual yoga). It is also alleged that MISA practices brainwashing, money laundering, human trafficking, and the production of pornography. ("Secrets of Seduction" is one of the group's productions.) Also, the leader of the group, a controversial guru named Gregorian Bivolaru, has been accused of having sexual relations with minors, and is currently being tried for the crime in absentia, as he has fled the country.

At this point, I began keyword-searching Bivolaru and MISA and received many results, including a Romanian human rights website. Here, I read that authorities first investigated MISA eight years ago, but that the investigation was closed under pressure from judges, lawyers, and members of parliament who are members of the cult. An unnamed female judge in Bucharest (Lungu?) is quoted as saying: "Some of my colleagues even took part in sexual orgies and urine ceremonies. Now they are prosecutors, judges or lawyers and still in MISA, probably ready to use their position to help their tantric guru."

Confusing matters somewhat, MISA has made its own allegations of human rights abuses. On one yoga-related website and on MISA's official website are testimonials by MISA members that describe mistreatment by the police in the raids and arrests that were conducted after the case was reopened. Also, MISA members have staged demonstrations at government offices to protest of what they describe as unjust persecution of their group.

Returning to Simona Lungu, the "porno judge":

In her testimony in the MISA case, Lungu acknowledged that she practices yoga, but denied any connection with MISA, even though at one time she lived at the address where the group's ashram was located. Also, Lungu claims that she "knows" the actress in "Secrets of Seduction"; furthermore, she contends that makeup, lighting, and distance from the camera cast doubt on the experts' conclusion that it is Lungu in the film. She further alleges that computer wizardry was used to superimpose her face (taken from videos of herself taped at weddings and other ceremonies she attended) onto the face of the actual actress. Two more interesting details:

Another judge, Dan Lupascu, at one point resigned his position as General Secretary of the Magistracy Superior Council over allegations that he had mishandled the investigation of Lungu; however, he later decided to keep his position.

Also, it is reported that, even if it is proven it is not Lungu in the video, she will still be subject to other "punitive measures" related to wealth she failed to disclose in compliance with Romanian law--wealth she acquired as a shareholder in a company that distributes audio and video tapes.

And, finally, on October 28 (four days before forensics experts issued their report on the film) this Romanian website reported the following:

"Simona Lungu, the judge suspected of having starred in the "Secrets of Seduction" erotic movie was involved in a car accident. The car she was in was running on the Cale Victoriei street in Bucharest and was driven by her husband. Simona Lungu said that the one who hit her car twice was a taxi driver."

So there you have it--a story that could not have failed to interest me, as someone who has written stories about strange religious sects "Cindy the Tattooed Sunday School Teacher," for instance) and has studied the injustices committed against the Branch Davidians in Waco, as well as the possibility that their church was used as a front by some intelligence agency (see my article on Waco).

It is also a story that, when seen in the context of the occult trappings of elite secret societies such as Skull and Bones, as well as international sex slavery (most notably the involvement of Belgian government officials in a pedophile ring), is much more complex and disturbing than is evident in the stories so far published outside Romania.

I do not quite know what to make of the story. Was Simona Lungu framed? Or is she connected to MISA? And what about Gregorian Bivolaru and his followers--are they, like David Koresh and the Branch Davidians, being unfairly persecuted? Or is MISA truly a dangerous cult?

Perhaps, as more details emerge, we will find out.
